What Spinal is

Spinal is a hosted CMS for the Markdown in a GitHub repository, built around written marketing content: a WYSIWYG editor, draft and scheduled statuses, and optional kanban and calendar power-ups. Team members sign up with email and password, and it lists Eleventy, Astro, Hugo, Jekyll, Docusaurus, and a dozen other generators.

It is one $39 per month plan with a five-member minimum, GitHub-only, and while Authors cannot publish, there is no approval flow beyond that role split. Copy outside Markdown is out of scope.
